While the word add-in has approximately 10,000 citation styles to choose from, sometimes none of them fit quite right or it's easier to create your own. The Word add-in allows you to add your own custom style to the available citation styles available to your account. Here is how to create that style.

One installed, launch the add-in and log in when prompted. The Styles button will be presented in the middle of the display as seen below:
Click the styles button to bring up the pre-set styles available with the add-in. You can then click the Manage Custom Styles tab to begin creating your own style.
If you already have a CSL file, such as one exported from a different reference management tool, you can then upload that file using the Upload Style button. If you do not have a CSL file, you can create one by following the Citation Style Visual Editor link provided.
